I came across this site the other day mpgbuddy.com. It has a database of close to 25,000 cars dating all the way back to 1984. What I like is that it also calculates the average fuel cost for the car your are looking up. Lowest fuel cost vechicle they are showing is a 2000 Honda Insight … I also looked up a 2006 Maserati … close to $700/year
