World Cup squad to be chosen on 12th Feb: Shah

The list of Indian squad for the upcoming cricket World Cup in the Caribbean would be selected on 12th February in Mumbai, among the list of 30 probables 15 would be pruned for the final.
The list of 30 probables for the World Cup would be pruned to final 15 members as 13th February is the last day to submit the names to the International Cricket Council, BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah told reporters on Wednesday.
Before that, the national selectors will meet on Saturday to pick the team for the series against Sri Lanka, who will be playing four one-dayers in India before the quadrennial event.
Sri Lanka will play four ODIs in Kolkata (8th Feb), Rajkot (11th Feb), Goa (14th Feb) and Vishakapatnam (17th Feb).
Shah also said seamer Munaf Patel, who is recuperating from his ankle injury, would play a match against a local outfit tomorrow, following which he will get himself assessed by BCCI’s Dr Anant Joshi in Mumbai.
