Bajaj’s January bike sales up 12%

Bajaj Auto Ltd has reported a 12 percent rise in its motorbike sales for the month of January at 1,96,560 units compared to 173,835 units in the same month last year.
Two wheeler sales in January grew 9 percent at 197,553 units as against 1,81,758 units in the year ago month, Bajaj Auto said in a release.
Three wheeler sales rose 45 percent at 32,030 units in the month from 22,019 units in the same month a year ago.
Total two and three wheeler sales grew 13 percent at 229,583 units in January from 2,03,777.
Exports in January stood at 39,812 units as against 18,168 units a year ago, up 119 percent month on month.
For the first 10 months of the current fiscal, motorcycles sales of the company were up 31 percent at 20,39,214 units compared to 15,53,041 units a year ago, the release said.
Total two-wheeler sales in the period under review increased 24 percent at 20,56,194 units as against 16,60,280 units in the same period previous fiscal, it added.
