Union Budget 2007-08 to be tabled in the Par today

Finance Minister P Chidambaram will present the Union Budget 2007-08 in the Parliament today, growth rate of agriculture still remains an area of concern.
This is the fourth Budget of the UPA government and appears to be a razor’s edge walk for Finance Minister as he needs to delicately balance several parameters with some perhaps conflicting –high inflation, signs of overheating of the economy and maintaining confidence of the investors.
Despite being the main sustenance of nearly two-thirds of the population, agricultural growth is expected to be the focal point of the budget.
